Key Responsibilities
- Azure Data Architecture: Design and implement robust data architecture solutions on Azure, including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Data Pipeline Development: Create, manage, and optimize data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory.
- Stored Procedures (T-SQL): Develop and maintain T-SQL stored procedures for data manipulation and processing within Azure SQL.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Configure event-driven processes using Azure Event Grid to trigger actions in response to data events.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and leverage Azure Key Vault for secrets management to ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring systems and alerts using Azure Logic Apps to proactively address data-related issues and send notifications as needed.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines and queries for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, data flows, and architectural decisions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and application developers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Azure DevOps (Desirable): Contribute to the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate deployment and ensure reliable data delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure cloud services.
- Strong expertise in Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Event Grid.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and experience with stored procedure development.
- Familiarity with Azure Key Vault and secrets management.
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
